The Final Countdown!!

Finally Room 6 and 7 have had the opportunity to go 'live' with their netbooks.  It was fantastic seeing all their excited faces and being there to see their faces light up when they finally got to unwrap their netbooks for the first time.  Check out the movie of todays experience.

Introducing the Netbook Technicians

These 5 students applied for the job of Student Technician within St Pius X School and were amongst 10 other students who also applied.  These 5 students were accepted fo the job for their enthusisam and their interest in eLearning.
These students imaged 70 netbooks last Monday and did a fantastic job.
We look forward to St Pius X going 'Live' with their netbooks on Monday 7th March!!!!

The Start of the Project

Today is the first day of school here at St Pius X School and all the children have come along ready and keen to learn.

All of our senior students are very excited this year as they will be using netbooks to help with their learning. Room 6 and 7 students who are Years 5-8 will be getting their new netbooks around Week 5 of this term. They will be using them for nearly every subject in the classroom and learning how to monitor their own learning and become more independant learners along the way.

This blog is going to follow the procress of the netbooking at St Pius X School over 2011 and let those of you around the world see the learning and progress that these students are attaining.

We will be gathering together the Student Technicians over the next week or so. I will ensure that we get a photo of the lucky chosen applicants as soon as they are announced.
