The Ghost Monster
In a faraway land close to a place called ‘Ghostly Hollows’ there was a little boy named Daniel. He once lived in a dark forest until a dark beast came and squashed his house which left a watery footprint. He then set off the find the creature. On the way he found a deserted lab. He entered the lab and helped himself to anything he could carry with his bare hands. Out of all the items he found a potion. It looked and smelt very appealing and without thinking he drank it. His sight blurred and everything started spinning then started to fade away… To be continued!! Din, Din, Din …

The Dance of Anger
In Media Studies a couple of weeks ago we choreographed another fantastic music routine. We used an old song called 'We're Not Gonna Take It' which is very heavy metal......great for head banging!!
We had to show the emotion of 'Anger' and 'Frustration'. We feel that this worked out better than our last attempt with the 'Muse' song. This was also our first opportunity to have a play with our brand new video camera and tripod :-).

A Bit Of Eclipse
During our dance time today we put together a dance routine to Miss G's favourite 'Muse' song. We worked together as a whole class and in groups. It was a lot of fun but a bit tough with the time constraints. Not polished at all but here is what we got done in an 45 minutes.

Our Virtue Assembly
In St Pius X Room 6 had a virtue assembly. Soon when the bell went everybody was so nervous and scared too. First Room 6 started off with 30 minutes with Room 6 like 60 minutes from T.V. We saw Fetuli she was awesome with her speech with good, clear talk so she told Lily to start off the prayer and everybody had to do the sign of the cross. After the sign of the cross Room 6 did mini-plays to show responsibility.
One of our plays was playing safe, being ready for school and picking up rubbish. Straight after our play Emmanuel said a speech for Mr Coakley to come up and hand out the certificates.
Finally when Mr Coakley finished handing out the certificate’s Mrs Pole came and gave out the Caught Being Good’s and Teransis had 3 of them, he was a good boy. We sang the virtue song and all the classes went to there classrooms, thinking about the virtue of responsibility.

Our Mini Music Video
We had 30 minutes to practise our rhythm work. We used that time trying to work with the rhythm of a favourite song. We struggled a lot at first and didn't get it totally perfect, but we didn't do to badly! Here's one of the takes that we did......

Stomach Ache
I've got a really bad stomach ache,
Which makes me stay awake.
Yelling and complaining,
Crying and fainting.
It grumbles everyday,
Like the waves at Mission Bay.
Yelling and complaining,
Crying and fainting.

Our Lady Gaga Choreography
We have started this term doing some dance. We were given 15 minutes to choreograph a short routine to a snippet of Lady Gaga music. We had to ensure that we took careful notice of incorporating shape and timing. This is how we did.........

My Holiday Off!
On Monday I had my holiday off, I went to my Nana’s house. In the afternoon I watched TV waiting for the clock to strike 4:00 clock, because we were going to church to do some dances for the meeting at our church. We danced till the clock strock 6:00 clock. We waited and waited until we finished dancing. We had a time out for dancing and after that the boys were playing rugby. Some of the boys were inside helping the doing the cups, plates, and glasses. Finally we finished and we ate sandwich's, pizza and panikeke and drank some tea and cocoa.
After we had eaten we locked the church and every body talked and talked until we were tired and we went home.

Yummy Bonbons Mmmmmmm
We had to film our whole movie in French. This was hard but helped us to show all that we have learnt so far this year, especially our movie making skills.

Our Skype Experience
In room 6 on Friday 5th June 2010 we had an experience with Skyping. All the students sat on the mat, watching the electronic whiteboard, except for Dorothy and Siliva who were representing room 6 on the webcam.
At first we couldn’t see Mr Ballew because his webcam wasn’t working for us, but suddenly it appeared. The class all greeted Mr Ballew from Seattle, Washington, USA. The presenters then asked our questions which we wanted answered because we needed information on how to film something backwards.
Room 6 are now going to use the information that Mr Ballew kindly gave us and try to attempt to make our own movie that looks backwards.
Agnes – This experience was fun, because we got to talk to someone from the other side of the world.
Lavinia – I felt scared because I thought we would have to postpone it again because his webcam wasn’t working.
Siliva – At first when I sat on the chair I felt really nervous talking to Mr Ballew on the webcam.
Phoenix – We had a wonderful experience with Mr Ballew from America.
Angelica – I felt excited because it was my first time skyping with my class.
Robertanna – I felt happy because our questions were answered to make our movie.
Nita – I felt happy because Mr Ballew was compassionate and gave us great answers.
Ofa – It felt quite unexpected for me to hear from someone from a different city.
Zephaniah – I felt excited when he contacted us for the first time through email.
Macjeva – It was cool listening to his voice because he has a different accent.
Daniel – I felt excited because he was telling us information of how to film backwards.
Emmanuel – I felt very shocked because it was my first time seeing someone from the other side of the world on a webcam.
A’Leina – Mr Ballew was patient with the webcam to work for us to see him.
Dorothy – I was shocked when Miss G emailed him because he might not have emailed back……..but he did.
Anasitasia – I was surprised that we actually could film backwards…….I didn’t think that you could, but you can.
Ilaisaane – I felt happy because he got in contact with us.
Sia – I felt disappointed at first because the webcam wasn’t working and then it appeared infront of us.
Miss G – I enjoyed seeing all the students getting the answers to their questions. Mr Ballew was very helpful and hopefully we can now make OUR movie.
