The Ghost Monster

In a faraway land close to a place called ‘Ghostly Hollows’ there was a little boy named Daniel. He once lived in a dark forest until a dark beast came and squashed his house which left a watery footprint. He then set off the find the creature. On the way he found a deserted lab. He entered the lab and helped himself to anything he could carry with his bare hands. Out of all the items he found a potion. It looked and smelt very appealing and without thinking he drank it. His sight blurred and everything started spinning then started to fade away… To be continued!! Din, Din, Din …

Stress Poem

When you get stressed you feel annoyed,
Sometimes you feel so paranoid.

Anita's Morning Tea Recount

Writing recounts can be challenging, however I have done very well using lots of my learning from last year and this year......I want to make my audience picture what I am experiencing.

Morning Tea time begane at the ring of the bell. Miss G quickly dismissed us as it was Morning Tea. My friends and I rushed to the corridor, grabbed our lunch and rushed outside.

The weather was extremely hot! As I sat down the seat was burning. If felt like I sat on an oven. I gently stood up and walked away. As I walked along to the tennis court sweat was dripping down from my forehead.

It was interesting to find little children shouting as if they were watching a baseball game! The game they were playing looked extremely exhausting. I stumbled to the senior park where there were children whose faces were lit with excitement. The ground beneath me seemed to disappear as I climbed up the bridge.

I sat there, staring at the pole in front of me. Suddenly out of the corner of my eye I saw a blurry figure approaching me slowly. I felt as if I was being followed......the figure turned out to be Robert. He clearly asked me if I wanted to play with him. I gleefully took his offer. We walked slowly to the tennis courts.

Five minutes ticked by slowly. Suddenly I heard a faint ringing sound growing louder and louder. One by one, two by two people were departing the tennis courts.....not until then did I realise it was the end of morning tea. The electric bell shrilled confirming that it really was the end of morning tea time.

Pop Idol

This is the final product to our years worth of Media Studies, Dance and Drama. We have had an hour and a half once a week all year where 7 of us have been doing some work learning how to make movies, act, write plays, and use our bodies to present ideas through movement. As an end of year project we had to put all these skills into a presentation and so we decided to make our own version of 'Pop Idol', with some acting help from some special teachers.

The Christmas Bullies

This is a bit of drama work that the Year 6's of Room 6 have been working on. A play that is very appropriate for this time of year. It is important that you are not a bully, they never win.

The Furious Race

When we choose our movie genre, I got excitement!! I decided that winning a race would be an exciting thing and so I made a movie about the excitement of winning.

The Dramatic Moment

I had to Write, direct a short film that was based on a drama.....I decided to make it about something that we experience all the time when you are at school!!!

Westpac Helicopter

During one of our Media Studies classes we had a wonderful experience of a visit from the people at the Westpac Helicopter. It was amazing having them land on the field, check out our movie to see what happened.....

The Terrifying Test

We enjoyed working on this movie, our favourite part was taking the photos!! This is our first movie we have made and we hope to do many more! We hope you enjoy listening to our fantastic recount of the AsTTle Writing Test.

I have been learning how to take photos that can capture my writing in my Media Studies class. I enjoyed doing my voice overs and putting together my own mini movie!
