Catholic School's Day

On Tuesday St Pius X Catholic School celebrated Catholic Schools Day with St Joseph's Primary School, Orakei.  We had a wonderful day with a mass followed by a shared lunch where the students and teachers ate together and then had time to get to know eachother more out in the playground.  We completed our celebration with a wonderful concert where both schools shared their talents.

NZ Sign Language Awareness

This week is NZ Sign Language Awareness week.  Today Room 3 learnt to say their name in NZ Sign Language.

Term 2 Topic

Last term we 'Embraced Ourselves' this term we will be 'Embracing God's Creation'.  We are surrounded by water and we need this to keep alive.  We will be looking at the positives and negatives of water and how important it is in our lives and the lives of all of God's creations.

Telecom Foundation

This term has been awesome in Room 3.  We have had lots of fun.  We are very proud of some of our students who have become the faces of the Telecom Foundation.  Here is the video from Telecom that promotes the awesomeness that is Manaiakalani :-)

Our Jesus Strand Display

Room 3 this term have been learning about Jesus.  Here is the wall display we did showing the events that occured in Jesus' life.

Typing Test - Term 1

Today we shared our typing skills for the Term.  For many of room 3 this is the first year that they have ever done typing.  Each term we will try to beat our own score.  Can you beat mine?
