Today is the first day of school here at St Pius X School and all the children have come along ready and keen to learn.
All of our senior students are very excited this year as they will be using netbooks to help with their learning. Room 6 and 7 students who are Years 5-8 will be getting their new netbooks around Week 5 of this term. They will be using them for nearly every subject in the classroom and learning how to monitor their own learning and become more independant learners along the way.
This blog is going to follow the procress of the netbooking at St Pius X School over 2011 and let those of you around the world see the learning and progress that these students are attaining.
We will be gathering together the Student Technicians over the next week or so. I will ensure that we get a photo of the lucky chosen applicants as soon as they are announced.

Hi St Pius X students. Congratulations on being part of the netbooking project. We are a class of Year 5/6 students at Glenbrae School and we have just got our netbooks. We love them. Miss Gleeson is helping us learn how to use them and how to look after them. We will keep checking back to see how you are doing. We will soon have some photos up on our blog showing our rollout day. Hope you can pop in to check them out.
